Chinese Carved Cinnabar and Brass Hand Mirror

Chinese cinnabar lacquer hand mirror, with floral and rustic garden fences as decoration, all carved in deep relief. Topped by a round knob also with floral designs. Enclosed within a brass border with the original beveled mirror glass. This unusual mirror is a fine example of the art of carved cinnabar lacquer. Qing Dynasty, circa 1900.
