A pair of French gilt-brass telescoping occasional side tables attributed to Maison Toulouse, with white marble top and pierced gallery on an adjustable shaft with cabriole legs and pad feet, attributed to Maison Toulouse, the model occasionally referred to Maison Meilleur. Circa 1950's.
The prestigious Parisian Maison Toulouse specialized in the distribution of high-end decorative brass and ormolu furnishings and objets d'art during the second half of the 20th century.
Its list of clients included the most discerning taste-makers, such as the Rothschild family, Hubert de Givenchy or Baron de Rédé .
At the Givenchy ‘s sale at Christie’s in June 2022, a similar pair of such tables sold under lot#179 for more than € 40k.
