Ganesha is a Hindu god with a mythological origin that is mentioned in texts from the 1st Century BCE to the second Century CE. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati and is often depicted with the head of an elephant. Ganesha, the Hindu elephant god symbolizes protection and removal of obstacles from ones path. He is one of the most popular deities in all of Hinduism. The elephant tusk symbolizes intellectual strenth, adaptibility and efficiency.
