Handsome pair of 18th century Italian Baroque chestnut side or hall chairs with circular open work backs holding a shield with beautifully carved lions in the centers. From northern Italy, in the alpine style, with bobbin turned splayed legs. Hand carved and beautifully crafted. Deep and rich patina that only comes from age and use. Circa 1750.
