Fine Louis XVI style French writing desk, of varnished satinwood, with elaborate ormolu mounts and accents, dark cognac leather top.  Circa 1950's.                                    

Classical rectangular bureau-plat shape with three front drawers, fluted legs with brass sabots.  Elegant proportions !  Attributed to Jansen.
