Rare English or American ship form jewelry box made in style of shipyard builder's half hull models, suggesting it was made by a skilled craftsman at a shipyard as a gift for wife or sweetheart.  Bird's eye maple lid with carved cleat as handle & initials "F. D." inlaid with pegs into top.   Late 19th / Early 20th century.
